Palliative care

„Palliative medicine means active and comprehensive medical and nursing care and accompanying patients from the moment their disease no longer responds to therapeutic interventions. Then the importance of treating pain and managing other accompanying symptoms and alleviating mental, social, and spiritual problems prevails. The main goal of palliative medicine and palliative care is to realize the best possible quality of life for the patient and his loved ones. It wants to support the patient, to allow him to live as autonomously as possible until death, and to stand by his loved ones so that they can cope better with illness and grief.“
